Proposal

Name: - Blue eyed Photography

Title: - Self Promotion photography website.

Project Proposal – outline and rationale:
To design and manufacture a self-promotion website of photography work for print. It will showcase examples of my portfolio of work undertaken during my time at university and outside academia. It will be produced in a way that it is user friendly and distinctive, this is so people will stay on the website to investigate more about my work.
A significant part of my body of work features musicians in live gig photographs and promotional work. Because of this I am going to market my site in mind that they are going to be my main clientele. I aim to attract not only bands as clients but associated companies involved in endorsements. This can include advertising companies for clothing, food and drink and musical equipment. I also aim to attract clients from music magazines and reviews and critiques.
For the most part this website needs to promote me as a contemporary and up and coming photographer. A website can be the first impression a person gets from your work so it needs to reflect myself as someone who is reputable. I also need to design the website so that it can be modified as I produce more work.

Aims and objectives:
  • To create a point of contact for people to inquire about my work/business.
  • To create an online portfolio that can be expanded as I develop as an artist, and can be altered in case of a change in direction within my photography.
  • To further my knowledge in web design. With this new skill I may be able to offer design as an additional service that I can extend to people.
  • To produce a portfolio of work that is marketed to not only attract my target clientele but also displays my versatility as a visual artist.
  • To produce a portfolio that is presented in a memorable and visually effective way.
  • To create a website that has 'added value' so that individuals feel the need to visit it on a continual basis.
